News Agent – Oil expert Hashem Akl expected that the prices of gasoline (90 octane) would rise by one piaster, or 1%, and gasoline (95 octane), by 1.5 piasters, or 1.3%, during fuel pricing for the next month.
Akl expected to the “News Agent” that the prices of diesel and kerosene would be fixed.
He indicated that Brent crude oil rose by $3 last week, and this rise was reflected in the expectations of oil derivatives prices locally for the next month.
He added that the rise in the price of Brent crude to $83 is due to several reasons, most notably the fear of prolonging the Bab al-Mandab crisis and the continued disruption of navigation for long periods, which may lead to a shortage of supplies, a recovery in Chinese demand, which indicates the beginning of the recovery of Chinese economic activity, and economic growth rose in the quarter.
